According to the high-speed camera, the louder they sing, the more aerosol particles and droplets will be sprayed into the surrounding air.

Compared with speaking, singing requires more air pressure to make sound, and the air flow will be stronger, and it often makes sound continuously and pronounces various syllables more clearly... Various factors have led to the air particles carrying viruses, which are more likely to be spread when singing loudly.

KTV, as an entertainment place, is often a closed space with poor ventilation, which greatly increases the risk of novel coronavirus transmission.

Similar incidents also occurred when the COVID-19 broke out in South Korea in 2020. KTV involved has become a hotbed of the virus and is the main way to cause concentrated infectious events.

After the incident, the South Korean health department specially reminded that the corridor of KTV was also a high-risk environment. The droplets sprayed by the confirmed patients while singing gathered in the narrow room. When the door was opened for ventilation, the virus would flow into the corridor and infect the surrounding people.

Under the epidemic, the six industries of food, accommodation, transportation, tourism, shopping and entertainment are the most affected.
